Here’s another video that’s going around the world. The video is called “Dance Your Shoes Off” and is done by the Second Baptist Church of Houston Texas. Last year a church in Budapest did one of these flash dances, so the Houston church decided to do one of their own. They commissioned the song “Rise Up.” 2000 members of their church got together to produce this video. While my last post was a traditional expression of Easter music, I have to wonder if this won’t become a new tradition.

Watching Fox News this morning one of the members of the church explained about the shoes left on the field. The church does a lot of missionary and outreach work. Everyone who participated was asked to wear a new pair of shoes and then left them on the field. They were gathered up and will be distributed to the needy.

Have a Blessed Easter.

Thanks to Bev at How Sweet The Sound for giving us the option of posting anything we wanted around Easter, Spring, etc. for this week’s Pink Saturday. This post is dedicated to my parents, especially my dad who is in the hospital recovering from surgery on his pancreas. He’s in ICU but we hope he’ll be in a regular room in a day or so. I told him – If you have to have surgery, there’s no better week than Holy Week. We’ve been blessed to have wonderful doctors and nurses working to help my dad recover.

For this week’s post I’ve gone to YouTube and found videos of songs that mean a lot to me for Easter.

The first is by one of my dad, and my, favorite singers. I’m old enough to remember watching the Tenessee Ernie Ford Show and listening to him on the radio.

This an old fashioned Gospel song – Where You There When They Crucified My Lord.

This next hymn, The Old Rugged Cross, is one that brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it. It’s one of my dad’s favorite.

“Christ The Lord Is Risen Today” is a hymn that I find myself humming and singing throughout Easter time.

He is Risen!

And what would Easter be without the Hallelujah Chorus by The Mormon Tabernacle Choir!

Oh, and I have to add this version of the Hallelujah Chorus. It has over 32,000,000 views on YouTube!

Have a Blessed Easter!

HE IS RISEN!

A huge Thank You to Bev at How Sweet The Sound for hosting our weekly celebration of all things Pink. Make sure to check out all of the other sites she has listed.

Bev's Pink Saturday

The other day my son (mid-thirties) said he had a hankering for Peeps which got me wondering about these perennial Easter favorite, though, the company that produces them has now got Peeps for All Seasons. No reason to go without your Peeps “fix” whenever you need them.

And what would an Easter basket be without at least a few Peeps in it?

Here’s a few pictures of “appropriate” pink Peeps and Bunnies along with some links to a few websites with further information on them.

Enjoy your Pink Saturday!

In addition: I would appreciate prayers for my mother and father. Dad is in the hospital with pancreititis and my mother – well – she’s not doing as well as she could. She misses dad. Thank you. Sandra
