About Me:

I suppose the best place to start is with the basics. I’m a single mom, have been divorced since my son was six and he’s now in his 30s. I’ve been retired from work outside the home for many years due a chronic medical condition, but that doesn’t mean I don’t work. I’ve been doing small online commerce things for years. For years I’ve been involved online from running a huge chat network, doing support for webmasters, and a few other things.

I’ve got loads of interests, but my main passion is dollmaking. At one time I sold them commercially (will have a post about that in the future) and got so close to having them on both major shopping channels. But, alas, the bottom fell out of that market. I will be getting back into it as soon as I get my studio put together.

I live in a suburb just outside of Chicago. Naperville has been named to many “Best Places to Live” lists. I’ve been here since 1961 – all except time out for college and a short stay in San Diego. I’ve lived in my current condo for nearly 23 years.

I have one son – Dave, who lives just a block away from me. He works in IT and is a computer genius – if I do say so myself. He has a chihuahua named Bootsy who is an absolutely wonderful dog and spends his days here with me while Dave is at work.

My parents are retired and live in Florida. I don’t get to see them often, though Dave does fly down there periodically. For many years I worked in the family business which is now run by my sister and brother-in-law.

Let’s see, what else do I like. I’m a huge fan of the TV series Lost. I also watch a few “reality shows” like Big Brother, Survivor, and The Amazing Race. When it comes to music I’m pretty much an “Oldies” gal, though I do love Toby Keith and have most of his albums.
