I “puppy sit” Bootsy during the day while Dave is at work. When he gets here around 10:30 in the morning he’s ready for a nap – which he takes until about 4:00 when we go out for a walk. Then it’s dinner time after which we curl up on the sofa and watch tv until “daddy” gets home.
These are pictures Dave took of him today along with captions of what he imagined Bootsy was thinking.
I take guarding this patio very seriously
I wish it was warm every day
Pardon Me, I heard there were still spots available in the cutest puppy ever contest.
This is my son’s Chihuahua “Bootsy” whom I “puppy-sit” suring the week when Dave is at work. Bootsy is 7 years old and weighs about six pounds. So he’s really not a puppy – but when you’re this small you seem to be a puppy all the time. He’s a real character.
Dave had taken him out front to “do his thing” before they went home from my place. I think Bootsy decided that he’d rather walk. lol
Well, Bootsy isn’t exactly a puppy, but when you’re seven pounds you don’t exactly appear to be a full-sized dog.
I took these pictures on my patio the other day when my son, Dave, dropped off Bootsy for me to “puppy sit” while he’s at work. He only lives a block away so it’s easy for him to drop him off each morning.
Bootsy doesn’t look too happy. He used to not mind his picture being taken, but then my son got a Nikon SLR digital camera that’s much bigger than the one he had before and suddenly Bootsy got camera shy. I think it might have to do with the fill flash. The camera is now mine since Dave decided he wanted to upgrade. I do love having a camera that feels like what I learned to take pictures with.
So, the other day Dave was taking some pictures of a damaged package I’d received and Bootsy decided it was time to go into hiding. So he thought he’d make his getaway:
Dave told him that he was too big to get under my secretary – but that didn’t deter a headstrong Chihuahua:
Two things – Bootsy has made it clear that he does not like the new “big” camera and secondly, I’ve got to do some dusting!
Below are two picturs of my daytime companion. During the week my son drops off Bootsy so he can have someone to keep him company and to keep me company.
Bootsy is an adorable 5 year old Chihuahua that, as with most little dogs, has no idea he’s as small as he is. On a good day he can eat an entire cheeseburger (no bun, please) and a few strips of bacon. Yes, he’s terribly spoiled. Dave got him when he was still living at home – before he moved into his own condo.
He has his own MySpace page, loves to snuggle up with me or Dave for a nice long nap, or will burrow under as many blankets as he can find and sleep for hours – especially on a cold winter afternoon. His favorite toy is “Chippy” – a well-worn chipmunk stuffed toy. He has one at Daddy’s and a duplicate at Mommy’s.
These pictures are about a year old. Seems my son took so many pictures of Bootsy that now when he brings out his camera the dog goes and hides!
